About Me
Hi, I'm Saquib Aftab.
I'm a software engineer with over 10 years of experience building backend systems. Currently, I work as a Lead Software Engineer, where I focus on designing scalable solutions and mentoring engineering teams.
My Journey
I started my career writing simple code. Over the years, I've worked on everything from small services to large distributed systems. My real passion emerged when I started diving deep into backend technologies and architecture patterns.
What I Do
As a Lead Software Engineer, my days involve:
- Designing and building robust backend systems
- Mentoring junior engineers
- Solving complex technical problems
- Making architecture decisions that matter
I genuinely enjoy breaking down complicated concepts into simple, understandable pieces.
What This Blog is About
This blog is my way of sharing what I've learned over the years. I write about:
- Java & Spring Boot – My primary tools for building enterprise applications
- Microservices – Designing systems that scale and stay maintainable
- Databases – SQL, NoSQL, and choosing the right database for your needs
- Git – Version control best practices
- Backend Development – Everything else that makes applications work
I focus on practical, real-world solutions. Not just theory. I believe in explaining concepts clearly so that both beginners and experienced developers can benefit.
Why I Write
After years of working with great teams and solving tough problems, I realized there's value in sharing knowledge. Every developer I've mentored taught me something new. Every mistake I made became a lesson.
Through this blog, I want to:
- Help other developers learn from my experiences
- Document solutions to problems I've faced
- Build a community of developers who care about quality code
- Make backend development more accessible
My Philosophy
Keep it simple. Good code doesn't need to be complicated.
Learn by doing. Reading is fine. Building is better.
Share knowledge. The best way to truly understand something is to teach it.
Stay curious. Technology evolves. So should we.
Let's Connect
If you find value in what I write, I'd love to hear from you. Reach out with questions, feedback, or just to say hello.
Happy coding! 🚀
